Ristorante Cenobio – Cibo per l’anima
“Cenobio” is the didactical restaurant of Mediterranean Wine-and-Food School “Nosco”: both are located inside the restored Ancient Capuchin Convent in Ragusa Ibla and are part of an ambitious project of knowledge and re-enhancement of the excellence of the land.
The School teaching chefs and its students propose to the customers a gastronomic offer based on the Mediterranean culture.
The menu changes every month: the courses are always new and based on the natural products that, from season to season, are taken into the kitchen of the Antico Convento. The choice of the raw materials strictly observe the “zero kilometre” rule, and, if possible, “the zero metre” one! Many of the products, in fact, come directly form the Orto dei Semplici, made by the School in the gardens of the Convent.
The study about the ancient flours makes the preparation of pasta and bread unique.
The prestigious wine list and the excellent service (the School deals with sommelier and hall-service classes as well), together with the accommodation in the suggestive location of the Giardini Iblei, makes of a dinner at Cenobio something worth.
On summer, the guests can decide to have their dinner in the inner garden, overlooking the splendid valley of Irminio river, gifting themselves with a moment of real beauty, out of ordinary time.

Every client of Cenobio does some charity as well: part of the income of the activities of Antico Convento is reinvested in social works.
